The 2015 Annual Series wins an international prize

The 2015 Annual Series won second place in the Best National Set category at the Mint Directors Conference (MDC) coin packaging competition, held in Bangkok, Thailand, between the 1st and 8th of May.
The award was given by an independent panel, made up of specialists in the fields of design, marketing and collecting, to the 2015 Annual Series, which features packaging inspired by the Castelo Branco embroideries, created by Rita Nicolau.
At a competition that brought together all worldwide coin issuing organisations, the Canadian mint won first prize in the Best Annual Set category, and Japan third prize.
MDC is an international conference held every two years, bringing together mint directors, issuing banks, suppliers and representatives of industries related to the coin production process. Advantage is taken of the occasion to discuss common subjects and challenges.
