Globalisation with a human face Cycle of conferences

On the 13th of May, the Events Room at the Portuguese Open University (UAb) hosted the first session of conferences entitled The globalisation with a human face, promoted by INCM and UAb, in partnership with the Sorbonne and École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris.
The aim of this cycle of conferences, which will be held monthly, is to promote an understanding of globalisation as a complex phenomenon, and to encourage people from different walks of life to work towards a sort of globalism that respects human dignity in all of lifes dimensions.
Valérie Devillard, from the University Paris II Panthéon-Assas, participated in this inaugural session by talking about Cities-Manifesto, along with Viriato Soromenho-Marques, from the University of Lisbon, who spoke about Global understanding challenges for the new management model for planet Earth, and Carlos Fiolhais, from the University of Coimbra, who spoke about Global Cultures. The case of negative cultures. Information was also given about the Antis Dictionary project, coordinated by José Eduardo Franco.
