INCM is looking to develop its economic activity, with an increased sense of efficiency and public responsibility. Conscious of its social and economic standing, which make it a landmark company in Portugal, it aims to meet to the challenges of the future while respecting society in general and employing socially responsible practices.

In its business dealings, INCM collaborates with social charities whenever possible by donating funds or products. Particularly noteworthy was the support given to the Cartão Solidário, Cais, Raríssimas and AMI* projects, to whom associate and collaborator identity cards were donated, and to other entities such as the Humanitarian Union of Cancer Sufferers and the Portuguese League Against Cancer, who received donations of money.

The recently launched INCM initiative, marked by the release of a series of coins under the generic title of "Uma Moeda Uma Causa" ("One Coin One Cause") which intends to connect numismatics to the fight for social solidarity and to financially support particularly outstanding charities in this field, is yet another example of how INCM aims to be responsibly involved in society.

The first coin from this series has been named "One Coin Against Indifference" and supports IMA (International Medical Assistance). A second coin, due to be released in 2010 and named "One Coin Against Hunger", will see its profits sent to the BACF (Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome - the Food Bank Against Hunger).
